PHILOSOPHY
At Shaping Pup, we believe that dog ownership and training is a lifetime dedication. We aim to teach dogs as well as their guardians in order to build a strong relationship between them. We encourage fulfilling a dog's natural behaviors which will promote a well mannered dog in the home. How is this done? We offer a wide range of dog sport classes for canines to exercise their desires and tendencies. Dog sports are a great way for your best friend to get the mental and physical stimulation that they need, while also having fun!

How We Do It
How We Do It
Training focuses on teaching owners how to understand the cause of their dog's behaviors so that they can be addressed appropriately. We want to educate dog guardians so that they can problem solve any issue that they face with their dog. Management techniques are taught to prevent unwanted behaviors while reward based training is used to increase the desirable behaviors. Group classes ranging from basic household manners to competition agility are offered. Tools that we use often include clickers to shape the behaviors we want to see out of our dogs, and props like baby gates to prevent the ones we don't. Additionally, we believe in giving our canine partners a voice when it comes to their care and teach patterns that encourage their cooperation.

We do NOT believe in intentionally inflicting physical, mental, or emotional harm onto our dogs in order to modify their behavior. No electronic, shock, spray, vibration, sound, or prong collars are allowed on property.
